After an unsatisfying harvest in 2012, specially in Italian central area, next harvest could be rich and copious even if with some exception.
For the new harvest in Italy, we forecast, a total production around 330/350.000 tons of olive oils with the South as main producer.
On the top position we will have Apulia with a production of 180.000 tons mostly from the North of the region. In the opposite side Calabria, where, after a great performance in the last year, in 2013 we suppose a total production of 80.000 tons.
Talking about Spain, the production in this area in 2013 will be around 1,3-1,35 millions tons, with the Andalusia that could change direction respect last year and steady up to 700.000 tons. Great performance is expected also in Catalonia.
In the Iberica peninsula we suppose a strong production with 70-80.000 tons also Portugal where the biggest part come from new field in Arbequina area.
