Extra Virgin Olive Oils – New data from the first three months of the year.

Analyzing the first three months of the year, we register a growth of the wholesales price of the extra virgin olive oils in the Italian market. The analysis made by “Borsa Merci Telematica Italiana” underline a strong rise in January (+5,6%, monthly), follow by +3,3% in February and +2% in March.

The year by year variation, also if still negative, register an attenuation during the first three months of the year. During the same period the importation of Spanish olive oil increase fourfold respect January 2013, arriving to 46.000 tons.
