Luigi “Schigi” D'Amelio from Birrificio Extraomnes in Marnate (VA) won the aspire prize “Birraio dell'Anno 2013”. The prize, at the fifth edition, organize by Fermento Birra network, reward constance in excellence and quality during the year.
In spite of his young productive age (started in 2010), Luigi D'Amelio stand out oldest brewers with his beers with strong personality, signed with an unique style coming from the best modern Belgium expression as De Dolle, De Ranke, De La Senne. Enganging beers characterized by freshness and dry end with a "dangerous" easy to drink taste.
Extraomnes Brewery, born in 2010 as part of Coffee Brewery El Mundo, have around fifteen labels in portfolio, considering seasonal and traditional one. Bottled in 33cl format, everyone with a Belgium style fermentation. With Schigi, in the podium appeared Giovanni Campari (Birrificio del Ducato di Roncole Verdi di Busseto) and Nicola Perra (Barley brewery of Maracalagonis)
